nine-seventeen located at 9-17 North Clinton Avenue in downtown Rochester is a multi-purpose building that creates an experience. The building encapsulates residential apartments, a cafe, local retail space, restaurants, a gym complete with a yoga studio, resident green space, outdoor dog park, and additional amenities. nine-seventeen provides a sense of community by including spaces all users can feel comfortable in. These spaces are connected by a central atrium that acts as a harmonious bond. There is visual access to the atrium from every floor. The atrium creates a cohesive vista for the users, thus evoking a sense of unity. Whether you are walking to your apartment, working out at the gym, or enjoying the lounge, all users become connected by this experience. In addition, the material selection remains cohesive throughout the building to continue to unify the building. Sustainability was emphasized through the atrium which provides natural light throughout the day, as well as through the material choices.

Lounge adjacent to Green Atrium that travels through the buildings entire vertical, providing natural light to each level below.
