THE SECRET ROOM: ROCHESTER PUBLIC LIBRARY
This was a 5 day design competition. Ten groups of six students were tasked with redesigning Rochester's "Secret Room". After entering through a hidden bookcase, children are often disappointed with the lack of magic inside the space. While redesigning this space, students were told to consider the variety of activities that take place in this space. The way this was considered was by creating furniture that is flexible and fun. As a team leader, I was challenged to keep my group members as productive as possible while also figuring out each of their strengths and how they could benefit our group.
